This booklet has some tips on how to get off benzodiazepines :tps://ccsmh.ca/areas-of-focus/benzodiazepines/older-adults-care-partners/. For specific advice, I recommend talking to your health care provider, but I would say that any benzodiazepine discontinuation should be done slowly and gradually, if you’ve been on the medication for 6 months or more.
